Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time. Kiwanis empowers members to pursue creative ways to serve the needs of children, such as fighting hunger, improving literacy, and offering guidance.

Capital City Kiwanis is dedicated to causes that build relationships, improve lives, and create a better world.

  • Effect change within the Boise community.
  • Combine service with fellowship in our extracurricular activities.
  • Develop leadership skills while having fun.
  • Develop relationships with community and business leaders.
  • Encourage good will and better friendships.
  • Enjoy weekly meetings featuring excellent educational programs.

Study after study shows that volunteering with an organization like Kiwanis does more than make people feel good. Volunteering enhances social networks, improves mental health, and contributes to higher levels of happiness, self-esteem, self-worth, and life satisfaction.

They are people like you. Friends. Neighbors. Volunteers who want to make a difference. They love to see the difference they can make when they work together.

Service is at the heart of every Kiwanis club. By working together, members achieve what one person cannot accomplish alone. Kiwanis members support local efforts with funding and labor including:

  • Community Service Projects Rake Up Boise, Paint the Town, Holiday Parties with the Salvation Army and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Ada County, events with Big Brothers Big Sisters, Trash Cleanup, Shakespeare Festival, Meals on Wheels, Winter Garden-A-Glow, and many more.
  • Capital City Kiwanis Foundation We offer scholarships for college and trade school along with supporting various youth- serving non-profits around Treasure Valley.
  • Key Clubs We support Key Clubs at several high schools that build character through service and leadership.
